Tom and Devyn McGrew remember growing up going to Dorney Park, the Crayola Factory, and other easy-to-spot nostalgias that now blend into Lehigh Valley’s ever-increasing list of things to do. They still feel the familiarity cultivated in childhood even amongst each new microbrewery, restaurant, and up-and-coming neighborhood.
Despite the growth around them, Tom and Devyn didn’t find professions in property management by following trends. By self-managing their own investment properties and working with other management companies, they understand the struggles, stress, and amount of hard work required to make portfolios perform.
Having her real estate license in New Jersey and through teaching elementary-age Special Education, Devyn brings unique and necessary skills to property management—an ability to assess the needs of others, communicate well, and quickly find solutions with ease. Through her teaching experience, she’s learned “how to to get to know what you do, what you think you do, and how to understand, versus what you think works for someone else.”
Tom is a long-time real estate investor, volunteer EMT, and has a healthcare-specialized IT background. With a career in technology paired with previously running his own business, he’s confident in his ability to keep up with changing markets, leverage technology, and find success in fluctuating circumstances. Finding a passion in real estate, Tom wants to extend that beyond himself and help others create and fulfill their investment goals.
Blended together, their professional lives and personal interests circulate what they believe to be most important in any property management business: understanding that there’s a person on the other side of the phone, application, and partnership. For investors, these skills ensure tactful property managers with earned confidence—people who have been in their shoes and will stand next to them with two feet still on the ground.
